The Montessori School of Westminster is turning 50, and we’re celebrating the upcoming milestone all year! We are looking forward to embracing our past, celebrating our present, and envisioning our future to ensure that MSW continues to deliver the premier educational experience for the next 50 years!

Our 50th anniversary is a wonderful time to look back at our history and celebrate the many milestones MSW has achieved: we’ve moved from humble beginnings in 1974 of two half-day Primary classes in a rented space to our current expanded offering of Beginnings (2s) through Middle School on our 27-acre campus. Our Homecoming celebration on October 6-7, 2023, was an opportunity for students and families from across the decades to rekindle connections and make new friends.
During the winter months we focus our celebration on our current students and families, taking the time to appreciate the importance of Montessori in our lives.
Join us in the spring as we envision our future and plot a course to maintain learning excellence for future generations.
The year will culminate with a party! Our Soiree Under the Stars will celebrate our 50th Anniversary at The Tannery Barn in Taneytown on May 10. Tickets go on sale March 1, 2024.
