This annual much-anticipated adventure is the culmination of a year in Upper Elementary for grades 4, 5, and 6! The class spending three nights away doing all the outdoorsy things you can imagine in the company of their Guides, Aides, and other chaperones. Currently, the class visits “Deer Valley” in Pennsylvania. Travel like this prepares students for big adventures in Middle School (grades 7, 8, and 9) at MSW!

MSW plans In-Service Days for staff throughout the year. During this time, staff members meet, collaborate, undergo training, and participate in professional development activities. Certain In-Service Days are earmarked as “Half-Day Snow Make-up Days.” In the event that MSW must close due to inclement weather, the school calendar lists four possibilities for shortened In-Service Days (8:30 to 11:50 AM) to replace instruction time lost. Families will be notified via MSW Updates weekly email if a “Half-Day Snow Make-up Day” will be used.
If this day is used as a full In-Service Day, MSW will offer childcare to pre-registered students. If the day is used as a Half-Day Snow Make-up Day for students (8:30 to 11:50 AM), no childcare will be available.
