MSW Summer Camp brings children from throughout the community to the school’s beautiful rolling 27-acre campus. Each week-long camp is designed to deliver fun, free play, and interesting nature-related topics and activities. Join us for one week or up to all seven weeks of camp.
The “Primary” Camp is for ages three through five. Two-year-olds enrolled in MSW’s school-year program may also register to attend. Limited spaces are available for two-year-olds. Children in this age group will meet in Montessori environments with age-appropriate items to stimulate their passion for discovery. Those four and older who do not nap will continue in the active classroom and enjoy time for free play.
The “Elementary” Camp is for rising first graders through children of age nine. During morning hours, campers will focus on the weekly camp topics. Afternoon campers will continue in the classroom with special attention to arts, crafts, and outdoors activities relating to the theme of the week. Lots of time for free play is scheduled too. Being outdoors is emphasized for all ages.

This one-hour morning visit to the active classroom gives parents, both current and prospective, the opportunity to see students and staff during the Montessori work cycle.
Current families: Please call 410.848.6283 to schedule your appointment.
Prospective families: Please email admissions@theMSW.org to find out which program level is best for your one-hour appointment.
All families: Observations are for up to two parents. We cannot host child guests during observations except for infants in parents’ laps. During the observation you will watch “from the sidelines” as the classroom functions. The last portion of your hour-long classroom observation includes discussion with the Guide who will answer your questions and learn more about your child. We ask guests to remain quiet and refrain from using cell phones during these visits to preserve the work environment. Kindly inform the classroom Guide if you need to leave or use your phone away from our students.
The classroom observation is a requirement for admissions to the school. Observations are offered from late October to mid-May.
Observations start at 9 AM, 9:15 AM, or 9:30 AM depending on your intended program level.
