In 2024, the Montessori School of Westminster’s Middle School class began publishing a periodic newsletter entitled “The Voice of MSW.” Multiple students participate in this on-going publishing effort that highlights various aspects of the school and its programs.
The Montessori Middle School program often incorporates practical aspects when creating projects, and the newsletter is no exception. Students work to sell advertising space in their publication, for example, and learn about marketing and finances in the process. Selecting content, interviewing, capturing appropriate photos, writing skills, formatting, time management, and other aspects of publication are part of this student-led endeavor.
